Hello Brothers and Sisters and welcome to the Teamsters Local Union 767 Website: First, I would like to direct you to the new Business Agent Assignments page. Brothers Tony Baker and Terry Johnson were appointed by the Local 767 Executive Board as new Business Agents. Brothers Baker and Johnson have always been instrumental in creative solutions to problem solving on the shop floor. Be sure to make note of the “Local767 Forms” button on our homepage to the link regarding forms. Included is the “official” Local Union grievance form, withdrawal form, Central States forms and others. If you have any problems on the site regarding any links, please e-mail us at teamsterslocal767@charterinternet.com
To keep abreast of UPS contract negotiations, there is also a link on the homepage to direct you to updates from our great International Union at http://www.teamster.org/divisions/parcel/2008UPScontractnegotiations.htm
Your assistance is needed in the campaigns to organize Federal Express and UPS Freight. These huge campaigns should not and can not be taken on only by the International Union. Most members realize the potential of having these employees as part of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters and the effects that it would have not only on Local 767, but also in leveling the playing field in competition between UPS and Federal Express. No one should be sitting on their hands in this campaign. Please educate yourself about these campaigns by clicking on the links above.

Finally, on the political front, we are once again at another milestone. Do not let this be the one you missed out on. In other words, members have voiced their concerns at union meetings, on the shop floor and at other times when issues have hit them right in the face. Then it is said, “If I only knew, I would have done anything to help!” They soon find out that it is too late. Here is another “one of those times” that you are needed. Please visit and read the very valuable information regarding “The Employee Free Choice Act”. As history shows itself lately in negotiations with employers, the easiest, quickest, self-serving response to union members’ demands are met with a comparison to non-union competition. Labor laws need to be changed and YOU could make the difference. When you click on the above link, every time you see the words “TAKE ACTION”, please do so. Although it seems as you are helping others, in the long run you will actually be helping yourself and organized labor in the future.

For various news and updates, please go to the homepage of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters homepage at www.teamster.org
